This is an honest conversation about the search for identity, the pain of forced migration, and the attempt to find a new home. The protagonists of the film are Jane and Zhenya, queer individuals from Belarus whose lives were profoundly changed by the events of 2020.

Jane speaks about coming to terms with their non-binary identity, a difficult coming out to their mother, and the sense of freedom that only emerged after moving to Vilnius. Zhenya, a musician and teacher, shares their experience of gender transition, memories of the days spent in Okrestina detention center – where music became the only form of survival – and the story of evacuating with just one guitar in hand.

The film raises important questions: how state-sponsored homophobia destroys lives, why around 70% of LGBTQ+ people left the country after the protests, and what it means to start over in Poland and Lithuania when your home has become unsafe.
